Today’s ponder post asks:

In our hectic, get-as-many-things-done-as-possible pace, can we afford a few minutes of exercise each day?

A better question is: Can we afford NOT to exercise?

“Exercise is the single best thing you can do for your brain in terms of mood, memory, and learning,” says Harvard Medical School psychiatrist John Ratey, author of the book, Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain

Do the students in your school move their bodies at all during the day? Can you incorporate more calisthenics into your lesson plans? Even if it’s just a quick stretch and jumping jack break? It just might be an EFFICIENT teaching strategy!
