Standford University’s National Center for Engineering Pathways to Innovation seeks to teach engineering students how to innovate for social good. From the website:
Our Mission is to empower U.S. undergraduate engineering students to bring their ideas to life for the benefit of our economy and society.
Partial funding comes from the National Science Foundation and the partners launched an initiative to mentor 12 additional colleges around the United States to amplify their mission. There is also a Fellows program for individual students at over 50 additional colleges to benefit from the Stanford program.
Wow, cross-college collaboration, mentorship and opportunity sharing for undergraduate students who want to make the world a better place with interdisciplinary knowledge and skills. More evidence that college as we know it is changing.
